Songwriting
Whether you are planning your engagement, wedding, or anniversary celebration - we'd love the opportunity to work with you to make it beyond special. We invest time in getting to know you. We are not an "answer a questionnaire and we'll send a song back within a few days" type of songwriters.
Instead, we prefer to meet you for coffee or over video chat in order to create a custom song whose melody and lyrics are 100% personal and original - just like your story!
We desire to write a song that brings to mind special memories, moves you emotionally, and communicates what you want to share with the person you love. As you make decisions for popping the question, walking down the aisle, having your first dance, or celebrating milestones, consider investing in a song that is created for only the two of you.

"I have been writing songs as long as I can remember. Even as a child growing up, I loved taking pre-existing instrumental melodies and coming up with lyrics to go with them, as well as writing my own melodies to express my thoughts and passions. When I was in middle school and high school, I channeled my passion for musical theatre by composing an entire musical based on Jane Austen's novel Emma.
In high school, I also started writing songs inspired by books, movies, and plays. I love storytelling through music and enjoy composing original songs that convey narrative. In college, while completing my music degree, I composed frequently for my courses, writing mostly instrumental pieces such as waltzes, fugues, and other pieces for voice and piano. I also began experimenting with composing sacred and worship music during this season. In the past few years, I have composed original choral music and continue to write hymn tunes and other worship music as well. Whenever I am inspired, I love expressing my thoughts through written music. |
My husband, Craig, is my biggest supporter in all my musical endeavors, including songwriting. I am very thankful to have him in my life to encourage my songwriting."

"Songwriting came into my life as a wonderful and healing surprise. Over the summer break during college, I was feeling burnt out with the constant grind of practice and coursework of music school that I decided to go out and buy a guitar at the local pawn shop. I needed to look at music from a different perspective. Little did I know this would end up being the start of a new found passion.
I spent all summer learning the most basic chords to allow me to give my beloved poems of my diary a new life. I came back to school playing songs of my desire for love, heartbreak, how silly I thought my dog was, and anything that came to mind. After playing some of my songs for my friends in the dorm room, I gained the confidence to go out to a couple of open mic's and I was hooked. Eventually, I left the rigorous program at Wheaton Conservatory of Music to study art and poetry in Orvieto, Italy for a semester. This Italy study abroad experience was my lifeline for my "creative starvation." I was able to feed my creatively deprived soul and exploded with songs, poetry, and expression. After some discovery and exploration, I found an intensive program in Nashville, TN to help me get start with a contemporary music career. |
After the program in Nashville, TN I went to Charleston Southern University to study music therapy where I learned to listen to my clients to help them express their emotions in song. I find music to be one of the best ways to express ourselves when words just don't do justice, which tends to be the case when we are in love!
Over the years I have recorded two albums, which is how I met my drummer husband, Jordan. I continue to write and play original music in the Charleston community, now with the company of my husband (which is a dream come true). Other than songwriting, I enjoy taking walks with my dogs, going to the mountains to hike, anything related to waterfalls, gardening, cooking, coffee coffee and more coffee, and most recently I have started baking sourdough bread with Jordan.
I can't wait to listen to your love story and help you express it in song!"

"My music has taken me across five countries, to being signed on Music Row in Nashville, TN, and right back home to Charleston. My musical storytelling has been recorded featured on thirteen albums and I've had the opportunity to be a part of a radio talent competition, two songwriting competitions, and was selected for showcases in both America’s Got Talent and American Idol. After graduating from Charleston Southern University, I attended Youth With A Mission’s creative/performing arts school in New Zealand, and later toured Thailand, China, and Hong Kong as a singer and production songwriter. Homesick for the south, I began writing country music about home from overseas. Since then, I have started a movement called “Stop Traffic” as an advocate for the victims of human trafficking. Twenty of my songs have had radio / TV airplay and I was signed on music row in Nashville as an artist / songwriter with Blue Guitar Music. Most recently, I've had a national distribution deal with my children's music, "Songs to Grow On," through Life Action Ministries and have been featured as the theme song for the book series, 'Fruit That Lasts.' Finally, I am the owner of an award winning children's entertainment company, Once Upon a Party, where I entertain as costumed characters like princesses and superheroes to teach children the importance of having strong character through my music. There are few things in life I enjoy more than songwriting and I would be honored to have the opportunity to share your story through my music!" |
