About:
The Lowcountry Sacred Music Retreat (LSMR) is an annual one-day event founded and presented by Lowcountry Pianist & Company. It is designed for church choral programs (and anyone else who enjoys singing sacred music). The purpose of the retreat is to grow as musicians, learn new repertoire, connect with other choirs, and most importantly, worship together.
For those who have attended worship conferences, the aspect participants most often share that they enjoyed the most is singing with a large group of musicians. Many of us have small church choirs; however, the music we can create when we join together is truly incredible -- a small foretaste of heaven.
This year’s retreat, The Thread of Love, will feature repertoire that traces God’s love for us from the dawn of time and invites us to reflect on how we are called to extend that same love to one another.
We hope you will consider joining us on Saturday, July 18, 2026. We are grateful to Bethany United Methodist Church in Summerville for generously providing the venue for this year's retreat.
