Lisa is a native of South Carolina. She began training as a pianist in the 70’s. At age 11, she was serving as church pianist, which led to playing piano in the nursing home. Her passion for piano and caring for others led her to receive a music therapy degree. Within this degree, she began learning other instruments as well to include guitar, but piano remains her main instrument today.
With over 50 years of experience, Lisa has played for numerous weddings, served as church pianist, provided music for an opening reception for a new community, given piano lessons, shared piano music for happy hours and receptions, plus she has provided accompaniment for vocalists, instrumentalists, and theater programs. She is adept at many genres of music, can sight-read, and plays by ear, which makes her a flexible musician working as a soloist or as a collaborative artist with instrumental ensembles! |
