Kyle is a professional trumpet player and composer who lives and works in the Charleston, South Carolina area. He performs regularly with the Charleston Symphony, Charleston Stage, the Joe Clarke Big Band, and the Charleston Jazz Orchestra. Kyle has collaborated with the Grammy award winning musical group Ranky Tanky arranging songs for orchestra, and was commissioned by the city of Charleston to compose a brass ensemble fanfare for the opening of the Gaillard Center. While in Charleston, Kyle has had the privilege of performing with Doc Severinsen and the Canadian Brass. As a freelance musician in New York City, Kyle was a regular substitiute trumpet player for the Broadway musical Mary Poppins. Kyle earned his Master of Music degree from the Mannes College of Music in New York City studying under the former second trumpet of the New York Philharmonic; Mr. Vincent Penzarella. Kyle received his Bachelor of Music degree from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, Ohio. In addition to private performances, Kyle is also the General Manager of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. |
