Wimberly is a board certified music therapist (MT-BC) who received her B.M. in vocal performance and music therapy at the University of Alabama in 2008. Her first music therapy job was in the Lowcountry in 2008 where she served children and adults with a variety of diagnosis including Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, ADD, ODD, and dementia. In 2017, she and her family relocated to Albany, GA where she had a thriving private practice in Music Therapy. She also provided music therapy for Easter Seals programs of Southwest Georgia at Dougherty County and Lee County schools. In 2023 she and her family returned back to the Lowcountry area where she works for Palmetto Music Therapy Services, LLC and Charleston Southern University as a clinical supervisor for the music therapy department. When she is not making music with her clients, Wimberly and her 3 sons are cheering on the Charleston Southern University's football team, where her husband is the head coach -- go Bucs! |
