Shenwei is a pianist, educator, and collaborator. She is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate in piano performance at the University of Missouri Kansas City, where she also served as a teaching assistant, teaching group piano and applied lessons.
In addition to her solo background, Shenwei has extensive collaborative experience in various settings. She frequently performs with classical ensembles in music halls across the U.S. and has played in many churches, including Presbyterian, Methodist, and Catholic denominations. She has also worked as an accompanist at Holt Junior High School in Michigan and has performed for weddings in diverse styles. Shenwei loves interacting with people and uses her musical talent to help create unforgettable memories on their special day. Shenwei holds a Master of Music degree in piano performance from Michigan State University and a bachelor's degree in Musicology from Central China Normal University. In 2018, she was honored to participate in the Brevard Music Festival in North Carolina, where she performed and gave lectures. Beyond performing and teaching, Shenwei enjoys cooking, traveling, and coffee! |
