Mario is a Charleston-based pianist currently studying Jazz Performance at the College of Charleston. With roots in classical piano and additional training in trumpet, his musical background blends technical artistry with versatility across genres and performance settings. Originally from Hilton Head Island, Mario first earned a degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina before ultimately pursuing his passion for music professionally. Today, he performs regularly throughout the Charleston area as both a solo pianist and collaborative artist. Mario’s repertoire spans jazz standards, classical works, contemporary music, and operatic accompaniment. In addition to private events and jazz performances, he has performed with groups including The Fiori, Never Really Over, and Grace-Miller Moody. He also frequently collaborates with vocalists, opera singers, and chamber ensembles throughout the Lowcountry. |
