Lever and Pedal Harpist

Since 2010, Jordon has offered harp and voice music in a variety of genres for weddings, memorials, cocktail hours, private parties, and sacred gatherings. She also performs original music and arranges music for the lever harp. She has studied the harp since 2007 and in 2014 Jordon began teaching beginner’s lessons. In college, she earned auditioned scholarships for both pedal harp and voice studies. As a lever and pedal harpist, she participated in band and accompanied vocal and instrumental ensembles. As a vocalist she participated and traveled internationally in auditioned vocal ensembles. In 2014, Jordon graduated summa cum laude from Charleston Southern University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music therapy with a minor in psychology. This program required completions of proficiency exams in piano, acoustic guitar, and voice. Jordon has worked as a Board-Certified Music Therapist since 2015 for a hospital system, using primarily the harp, voice, and guitar in her services. In 2019 her harp recordings won a JPG Harp Therapy scholarship. She became a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner in 2020 after 3 years of study with the International Harp Therapy Program. Jordon was recently elected as an IHTP Representative Council member for the National Standards Board for Therapeutic Musicians (NSBTM). In her leisure time, Jordon enjoys studying the science of sound/music, and playing a variety of instruments such as singing bowls, gong, and the ancient Greek lyre. She feels blessed to share life with her chihuahua and significant other at their home in Irmo, SC. |
