Described by the Armenian Weekly as a “technical wizard” and a pianist of “rich emotions”, an Armenian award-winning pianist Hrant explores repertoire ranging from the Baroque era to our modern times. Hrant has performed in various prestigious concert halls across the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Aula Nova Hall in Poznan, Poland, Steinway Hall in Changsha and South China Normal University Concert Hall in Guangzhou, China. He has appeared as a soloist with various symphony orchestras, including Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra and Heights Chamber Orchestra. Hrant has won many international competitions including First Prizes at KVSO Young Artist Competition and San Jose International Piano Competition. Being an active chamber and collaborative musician, Hrant has collaborated with many prominent soloists, most notably with the cellist Suren Bagratuni, which has culminated in releases of two albums – “Songs of My Childhood” and “Brahms Three Sonatas.” |
